Working along side the prestigious Lowther builders and Cortese Architects on this project had its challenges.  The clients had a clear vision on what they wanted to achieve on this venture.  This is minimal simplicity at work.  We installed a specially milled wide board American Oak that had been selected for its clean appearance, adding in a V-groove to define the board edges.

The colour was key, and after many revisions we settled on a quarter strength lime wash.  The brief was to try and keep it looking as natural as possible, so such a small amount of white only served to balance out the golden tones without being noticeable.

With this one, the proof is very much in the pudding.
