Undertaking a floor on the ceiling is not easy. Especially one that has external joints and walls that are angled. The brief was set out, install this engineered flooring with a neat 10mm gap around the perimeter that was to be visible as a shadow line between the timber and concrete. Because the timber extended into the second story via the stairwell, a cherry picker was required to manage the height. The concept was delivered over a 4 week timeframe working in with the boys from Larkin & Drought. This is one of my favourites, and we were recognised with runner up in the ATFA floor of the year 2019 award for Australia.
